Metro West 2010 3354's new Rosenbauer. 1500 Single Stage pump, 1500 WT, 50 foam. I will be driving this truck next year.

St. Louis Metro - Guest - 12-19-2010

Fleet photo from Metro West House 5 prior to 3392 moving to House 1 and 3328 moving back to House 2. House 5 has the twin 3358. 3358 use to be 3338. By moving 3328 back to house 2 we only had to renumber one unit.

Saber. Truck came from Appleton. Has our same hose bed as our 3 older Sabers 153 (1995), 193 (1996 and reserve unit), and 133 (1997). 113 (2010) also as a twin 143 (2010). The Florida plant will not customize the trucks like the Appleton Plant will.

Sure looks like a Contender but then again a Saber is a Contender made in Appleton that has some type of customization. Very few still made I believe.

St. Louis Metro - GA_Dave - 12-19-2010

Thanks for the info. It gets harder and harder to tell them apart.

Pierce 2010 Saber with Cummins Engine. Don't no the Cummin's engine model or house power. 113 and 143 are our first trucks to have Cummin's engines. I do know to be in a Saber it's on the smaller side.

Waterous 1250 pump, 750 wt, command light, 10 kw hydraulic gen. We went with a five seat cab with a compartment behind the driver's seat. Poor man foam system. All will have to post a close up pic of it. The front preconnect has a akron portable by pass eductor on a swivel. We then use five gallon pails at the front of the apparatus. Each pumper carries 3 pails and we have a pickup at station 3 (136) that has about 20 pails that serves as our foam supply and can run back to station 3 for more if need be. You can kind of see it on the front bumper in front of the driver on the 113 pic.

Nice unit. It's a shame that the Pierce chassis line up really makes the Saber a better option for a cab more like the Dash or Lance. I have tried to like the Arrow XT but the interior control lay out is terriable. Then again that's just my opinion. Again good luck with the new unit.

Your rite nice rig. This truck was a low budget pumper. I am assigned to Ladder 124 a 2007 Arrow XT. We had a few bugs in the beginning, however this is a great truck and handles great. This would be a Saber as well if the Chief could have it his way. To heavy to put on a Saber.

St. Louis Metro - Guest - 12-20-2010

Here is a 2008 Arrow XT at my career dept. 3000wt, 1500 Hale SS pump. C13 Cat.

St. Louis Metro - Guest - 12-20-2010

This is 3347 a 2009 C4500 Osage ambulance. 3347 and 3317 are twins. 3337 went in service last month with a little different interior cab spec. Osage found one last chassis in Iowa and had one other in stock. 3327 will be in just after the 1st of the year with the same Spec as 3347 and 3317. This will have all our front line ambulances set for a few years. 3397 (spare) will most likely be 3327 E-series Osage.

TheCommish, I notice you have alot of midwest pics, do you happen to have any shots of the Tiller Trucks that were in service in Tulsa Ok or do you have any specs on them? Thank you! I used to live in Tulsa and when I lived there, they just ran Quints and Bronto Skylifts and had an Aerialscope/Duplex that I believe was a reserve truck. I asked at Fire Station 29, which was by my apartment, about the Tillers and no one seemed to even know what a "tiller" was LOL. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh I know that a Saber cant work on everything but for pumpers they are a good option.

Here are a few from non-existent Gardenville FPD. Gardenville merged with the Affton FPD in the early 80s and is now covered by Affton's 3 House. Pumper 71, 72, Rescue 7 and Car 705 respectively.

what ever happened to 71, 71, rescue 7, 705 and 706. I was a vollie from there also and so was my father.
