Quote:I believe this International Fleetstar pumper is ex-Parks Canada/Jasper Fire department built by Saskatoon Fire Engine Company Ltd of Calgary Alberta about 1975
You are correct Warren S.  I just returned from Jasper and this was their old truck.  It is a 1973 Fleetstar 2010A built by Saskatoon.

I thought so. I was in the old Jasper Hall in the late 80's and this truck was running with a newer Saskatoon/International CO-Series canopy cab pumper. At that time the Jasper Fire Brigade was also running a 1966 Superior/Pontiac 'Consort' Ambulance which was the only ambulance in town.

For those who are interested I just discovered the Jasper Volunteer Fire Brigade has a website www.jvfb.ca/ complete with photo galleries, history and links to a virtual museum with multiple photos of the 73 International the 78 International CO-Srs and the 65 Pontiac. I also stand corrected the 65 Pontiac ambulance was in service until 1985.....It was longer ago than I thought.

Quote:Valleyview, Alberta  2014 Rosenbauer/FL-Coronado  420/4000  (in US: 500/4800).  Reportedly, this is the first tri-axle tanker that Rosenbauer America has built.

Dependable did a tri-axle tanker for Shell Scotford in Alberta in maybe 2011? It carried 4,000G foam.

And Spartan-ERV did maybe 3 in the last few years for Strathcona with their "Boomers".

That head mechanic should be proud that thing is in really good shape for its age
