What does Claredon Tower mean. I've always wondered.

The name Clarendon part comes from the company original name which was Clarendon Hose & Hook & Ladder Co. No. 2 it was called the for at least 15 years. Then the name went to Chemical Co. No. 1 for at least 20 years then it went to Hose Co. No. 2 which it has been for the past 70 years. As to where the members came up with it when they formed the company is lost to time. The only thing it might to be related to the Street/Area that is named Clarendon in town or a person and from what we have info wise there was no one that had the last name Clarendon in the company plus the other thing is the original firehouse or the current one was never located on the street named Clarendon. The Tower part comes from what the truck is just like how there was Clarendon Snorkel that took the Snorkel part.
