I marched with my fellow FDNY Brothers in the 2006 Chicago Southside St. Patrick's Day Parade. The FDNY Fire Family Transport Fund had this rig flat-bedded out to Chicago just for the parade. It led the FDNY contingent. The parade was GREAT TIME, and we were treated like royalty out there!!!! Gotta love the Windy City!!!!!!! As a bit of CFD history Chicago also had a fleet of similar Mack Engines however they all had permanent cabs in our famous black over red color scheme. The last cab less pumper that Chicago had delivered was in 1932 and after that they all were built with cabs. Chicago had 32 1949 and 5 1951 Mack 1,000 gpm[ pumpers, not to mention 6 1948 Sedan (crew cab) Mack pumpers./b] F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-10-2009 More: Engine-231, Brooklyn 1980 ALF F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-10-2009 Engine-67, Manhattan 1984 Mack/Ward 79 #MP-8417 F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-10-2009 Engine-155, S.I. in a spare 1986 Mack/Ward 79 F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-10-2009 Engine-158, S.I. 1984 Mack/Ward 79 showing as #MP-8422, perhaps with updated litebars like the 86's F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-10-2009 Engine-162, S.I. 1984 Mack/Ward 79 #MP-8407 F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-10-2009 Engine-66, Co-Op City Bronx 1984 Mack/Ward 79 #MP-8419 F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-10-2009 One of the 1983 ALF's when new, unassigned in pic F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-10-2009 Another 83' ALF new F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-10-2009 Engine-270, Queens 1984 Mack/Ward 79 #MP-8423 F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-10-2009 Engine-308, Queens 1985 Mack/Ward 79 #MP-8506 F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-10-2009 E-308's 2nd Piece-The JFK (Airport) Hose Wagon, a converted 1980 ALF #AP-8031 (ExE-262) F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-10-2009 Engine-41 was disbanded on May 3, 1989.
