Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - mnsand - 07-05-2009 Last photo from Abingdon is the station. The members went all out to pull out the trucks for photos in a short amount of time - my thanks to them. Mike Sanders Winchester, VA Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - davemcclung - 07-05-2009 Mike, it's great to see the latest result of your travels. Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - mnsand - 07-05-2009 Clear Brook, Virginia is located in Frederick County just outside of Winchester. The FD has some apparatus that have dual roto-rays, which is interesting and nice. Clear Brook's newest is Ambulance 13-1, a 2007 Ford F450 4x4/Life Line, also with dual roto-rays. You don't see that on ambo's very often. Mike Sanders Winchester, VA Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - mnsand - 07-05-2009 A close up of the roto-rays. Mike Sanders Winchester, VA Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - mnsand - 07-05-2009 It is nice to be seen on Interstate 81 where Clear Brook runs auto accidents. Mike Sanders Winchester, VA Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Guest - 07-06-2009 Mike, Great photos, as usual. Maybe next time we can meet you make it to Abingdon. Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - photone - 07-06-2009 As always, Mike, awesome posts and pics! I aleays look forward to your pics! Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Truckman - 07-06-2009 Mike great photos as usual. Love the twin Roto-Rays!!! Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Roto-Ray - 07-06-2009 I thought that I might add a few random Virginia rigs to the thread for folks enjoyment... First is this Crimson rear-mount rescue-pumper from the Boonsboro VFD in beautiful Bedford County. This is one of the handful of Crimson vehicles in service in the Commonwealth. Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Roto-Ray - 07-06-2009 On the opposite end of Bedford County, near Roanoke, is the Stewartsville-Chamblissburg VFD. A number of the volunteers at the department also work for regional fire apparatus builder M&W, so the choice for their new rescue was obvious. Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Roto-Ray - 07-06-2009 Several Firepixers visited the Roanoke area last year and shot a variety of rigs. The Town of Vinton is located within Roanoke County. It shares rigs with Roanoke County, and is dispatched by the county also. The Vinton First Aid Crew is one of the transport services within Roanoke County, and they have this nifty looking rescue for extrication work. It features seating for two in the front, and a partial walk-in body with seating for three. Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Roto-Ray - 07-06-2009 The County of Albemarle has put several Mack Granite tankers with Pierce body work in service over the past year or so. Each of them is painted thier company's respective colors. This pretty white big water hauler is assigned to the Scottsville VFD, Company 7. Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Roto-Ray - 07-06-2009 Finally for today is this Pierce tower ladder from the City of Lynchburg. This runs from Station 7, and replaced a well-worn LTI. Hope y'all enjoyed! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - VFN102 - 07-06-2009 [quote name='Roto-Ray' post='319392' date='Jul 6 2009, 14:37 ']Several Firepixers visited the Roanoke area last year and shot a variety of rigs. Very cool rescue. Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - VFN102 - 07-15-2009 I ventured up to Hanover County fire station 11 in hopes of getting shots of their new Seagrave Marauder II. As my luck would have it, it was at the county shop getting an oil change. But I did snap the huge tanker and brush truck. Farrington Tanker 11 1999 Freightliner FL 120/E-One 1250/2000 S/N 19598 Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - VFN102 - 07-15-2009 And here is the brush truck. There was no exact consensus on the gpm though. Farrington Brush 11 1980 Jeep CJ-7/Aqua Duk 12?/80 Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - VFN102 - 07-15-2009 In case anyone was wondering about the red Seagrave sitting in the bay, it was running in place of the new Engine 11. It's the second out engine at Rockville and also serves as the County's Westend reserve. Thank you SO much for posting this most excellent photo!
