They told you wrong.  This was originally owned by Lockheed Aircraft Company in Burbank, CA, then transferred to Lockheed - Marietta in Georgia.  When Lockheed disposed of it, Ridgeland bought it.

I think it's 57'.  I believe the idea is to compete with Telesqurt type aerial devices.

I was wondering about that pic..... Didn't remember any of those navy pierces being spec'd with front intakes.
