Dryer Fire in Portland, 11-26-13 - Guest - 11-27-2013

At 1708 a box was transmitted for a house fire at 12325 SE Lincoln St.

Dispatch said the dryer was on fire and had extended a bit.

First due Truck 7 reported fire showing from the A side.

When I arrived at 1712, about half the C side had fire showing.


I learned someone had left the back door open.

The dryer was in the room where the nearest window is.

The lights from the apparatus were so bright, the entire scene was red

and/or blue, so I changed the next two photos to B&W.

Truck 7 went to the roof.

The fire had extended through the walls, so once was opened the smoke and fire vented nicely.

(For you ladder pipe enthusiasts, the sky did not catch fire Smile )
