It was bad enough trying to keep track of who went on what alarm. Tim I live about 5 mins from the fire building. I started listening when I got the text. Could see the smoke column from my bed room window. After all was said and done I ended up riding an engine bucket to help backfill some of the stations that were empty (can i say there was a S%*! ton). E414B was covering Fairfax County Companies 11, 9 and 24 as the first due engine company for almost 3 hours! When I got to the station the CAD indicated 20 engines, 8 trucks, 4 rescues, 12 medics and all sorts of command staff were all on scene at some point. It was awesome to see all the team work and how the incident command structure carried along. |
