I had an opportunity this afternoon to grab two shots of opportunity while in Istanbul, Turkey on business. I had two types of rigs that I wanted to seek out on this trip. One was a Ferrara Strong Arm and the other was one of these unique rigs. I didn't see a Ferrara, but saw a photo of one on the station wall.
The 6x6 chassis and cab were assembled by GPV in Michigan (assume this is a Spartan cab). The rescue body was built by Magirus. Rosenbauer also built some pumpers on this chassis. Pretty unique apparatus. It has a crane on the back and a plow attachment on the front for moving earthquake debris.

Wish I could have gotten better shots and taken a look in the compartments, but I don't think my driver was into fire buffing.

the Eregli steel mill in Turkey has a Seagrave Apollo tower. there are apparently numerous Strong Arm apparatus in the country as well.
