On Monday morning Littleton Engine 17 was dispatched to a residential fire alarm. While responding neighbors called 911 and reported black smoke from the roof and an elderly female inside. E17 found smoke & flames showing from the bravo & charlie sides of what they thought was a garage extension. The elderly occupant was assited out by neighbors and was quickly transported for smoke inhalation. A 1 3/4 line was advanced to the charlie side where a transitional attack was used. A second 1 3/4 was taken through the alpha side of the house which was found with moderate smoke on all floors. The fire was placed under control within 15 minutes and held to a "mother-in-law suite" that had been added to the first level.

The second fire happend this morning in Parker. A worker entered the vacant home and discovered gray smoke with a wood burning odor. An Unconfirmed Structure Fire was dispatched and first due South Metro Engine 41 found light smoke showing. Upon the arrival of Training 32 (Safety) flames were visible from the first floor, delta side. E41 upgraded to a confirmed response and advanced an 1 3/4 line for quick attack. Engine 47 secured a water supply and entered to assist with searches. A kitchen fire was quickly located and knocked down. Moderate smoke conditions were present on all levels and in the attic space. Once no heat or extension was determined, PPV was started and most of the companies picked up.

Do their SCBA masks have their names on the front of them? If so, are they just stickers on the outside of the mask?

Stay Safe

They are just simple white stickers on the outside of the mask. Since the company designators are only on the front strap and bottle on the SCBAs it's easier when face to face knowing who they're talking to.
