Love what the rear door says. Got any classic Denver rigs?

What does Hamer 1 do and what does the name stand for?

I noticed the Q sirens are back. Many years ago I visited as the new Tower One was delivered and it had four electronic siren speakers, what was the deal? Glad the Q's are back. I know the old chief took a way the gold leaf and tradtional helments and added the real plain scramble and red strip. The gold DFD and gold strip was starting to reapear when I was there. Have the tradtional helments returned?

Heavy Rescue Tower Ladder? Sounds interesting...

What exactly makes it both? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Shrug' />

HAMER is a regional (Denver Metro) term for HAzardous Materials EMergency Response. This term is used less frequently now due to NIMS but tradition keeps it alive in most departments. The Heavy Towers/Trucks carry extra Technical rescue equipment that is suppose to supplement Rescue 1 and keep the Rescue in service more. Eric can give a better description of the HRT's than I can so I'll let him but I think I gave you guys the idea.

Is Engine 30 slow as in the rig can't get out of its own way, or slow as in a not busy company.

Good stuff.

Any idea which Tower Co.'s and Truck Co.'s are TRT "Rescue" companies?

Thanks.
