Different paint colors and schemes on the two Old Fort rigs.  Was one a demo?

I'm not really sure.  Old Fort has used several different schemes over the years, including a white/yellow Maxim F ladder and a blue Mack CF.  Most of the rigs I saw there on this trip were white/red, but the two newest were solid red.

Nice looking stuff Dave!  Lots of redundancy in those Charleston fire departments.  Looks to be prime for consolidation!  Keep 'em coming!

Yes and no.  The FD's in Charleston County have already united into an automatic aid response system, with a few exceptions.  Calls are answered by the closest capable unit at the time, regardless of jurisdiction.  Folly Beach, for one, is not included as they are a peninsula, so if they respond out of territory, there is no one farther out to fill in.  The area I visited covers several Counties and they each have their own systems, but I don't feel that consolidation is in the near future.
