It is. Where it came from before that , however, I was never able to discover.

Quote:Unless I wrote something down incorrectly, that is what Jon told me.  You need to ask him or Micah (Micah, Andrew and I shot it a couple years ago at a muster).  Otherwise, maybe Mike Martinelli has it in his Mack list.

Oh sure Mr. Fair Oaks....blame the guy who can't defend himself.

Not unless the two Arlington County rigs were different from each other.  The one I shot is different than this one at Clayton.  It had barrier doors and the compartment behind the rear cab door was much smaller.  Less of the rear cab doors went over the wheel well.

I can neither confirm nor deny.  The Rescue 1 I photographed at Morrisville was a 1989 Simon-Duplex/Saulsbury, but it had only a short 2-door tilt cab without a crew area.

Can't or only will when he gets around to it?   Fireman

Better be careful, you might just hit 50 by the end of the year! Tisktisk

1 Arlington Unit went to Canada I believe and the other is serving Middlesex Twp FC in Butler County, PA.

Keep blaming me for stuff and I just might! The Morrisville rig you shot was the replacement for the one that's in Clayton. Other than size, I have no idea why Morrisville got rid of it.

Chapel Hill E-34 (the white one) is ex Salem Volunteer Fire Department, Culpeper County, VA.  Purchased by Chapel Hill in 2010.

Salem VFD is not to be confused with the all-career City of Salem Fire Department, located some 150 miles to the southwest.

Before the guy could back TAC 51 into the house, the bottom dropped out.  We decided to paddle over to the shops and get a peek at the new Engine 35.  After talking with the Department Mechanic for a bit, the rain stopped and he backed it outside.

WHY DID SALEM GET RID OF IT SO QUICKLY AND WHAT WAS IT REPLACED WITH?

This & That from Here & There - Roto-Ray - 07-08-2014

Dave,

It was a purely financial decision.  They got a beat-to-hell E\-One Hush from Bellingham, MA as part of the trade in, but it never entered service, it simply sat in the bay.  In 2012, they got the ex-Dale City E\-One from nearby Little Fork, and in 2013, they got a 1989 Pierce Lance from the Vienna VFD in Fairfax County.  They also received Vienna's canteen unit in 2013.
