At least the first 3 new Pierce Arrow XT engines are on the Blue Floor at Pierce. Saw photos today of Engines 3, 12, and 21. Photos were dated 5/1/2011.

Maybe this question has been answered previously, but why does DCFD use a crash rig within the city?

But for the packers, cheesehats, and the current politics of that state I could actually live in Appleton or Oshkosh if I got a chance to work there.

I guess it remains to be seen how they'll work out for the department, but from an esthetic standpoint, the're pretty sharp looking rigs.

DCFD Photos, old or new - SLIPPERYSAM - 05-04-2011

21 Engine just got a Seagrave a little while ago. Wonder why there getting a new Rig.

DCFD Photos, old or new - Guest - 05-04-2011

These are being assigned to all the Water Supply Companies. I'd imagine the current Engine 11, 16, and 21 will be handed down to other companies since they are all 2005 or 2006 model Seagraves.

DCFD Photos, old or new - Roto-Ray - 05-04-2011

Looks like the District has started purchasing the Roto-Rays, instead of them being a field-installed item?

DCFD Photos, old or new - rescueff - 05-04-2011

What is the official Patch for the Apparatus? I thought they quit using the patch that is featured on the new Engines and went to a different one.

They should hold up very well, I would think.

From what I heard these wagons were originally meant to be the actual water supply wagons, which means they would not have a roto-ray to use for them. Had they been purchased to be front line wagons the Roto Ray probably would have been installed by the members off their old front line piece. They decided to use them as front line wagons since our current fleet is not doing so well. These are also not our real specs. They supposedly are single stage 2000gpm pumps, which we do not currently use and their wheelbase is longer then what is in our specs. There are a lot of speculations about these wagons. Hopefully someone with some inside knowledge will be able to clear it all up for us.
