No, it is one of two Pirsch Cab Forward rigs purchased by the DCFD in 1970 and 1971. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/3_12_21.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='3_12_21' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/stirpot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Stirpot' />

Some of the better photos of the Foam Unit I have seen. Always wanted to model some of the older DC unusual rigs. Photos like this really help. Thanks for sharing them.

More stability that way. I never trusted those 4 jacks anymore than the straight frame aerials you saw in other places where they came straight down from the rig.

Stay safe, Brothers.

Thanks for posting the "old school" DCFD pics Brummel.

Elliot Goodman has posted on his FB page many DCFD pics he has taken and shows Truck 4 operating a 1972 Pirsch TDA.

[/quote]What are the jack-looking things that the tractor tires are sitting on? Are they for regular operation or for some kind of testing / maintenance?

Thanks,

Gary
