Another request please. Can anyone give me the status of the follow rigs that were replaced by the 2006 Seagraves?

Engine 7 ('00 Cyclone II); Truck 7 ('99 Seagrave); Engine 23 ('00 Seagrave); Engine 24 ('00 Seagrave); Engine 27 ) '03 Seagrave; and Engine 32 ('03 Seagrave).

I assume they all went to reserve, but I have not verified that.

Many thanks for any help provided - Jerry
E-7's 2001 E\-One Cyclone II (S-122) is now in the reserve fleet.

I believe the others you listed also all went into the reserve fleet. I have heard that two of the Pierces which were replaced by the new Seagraves are being refurbished by Pierce and will be given to companies in the fifth battalion to replace their first line units. I believe E-20 and E-5 will be getting these refurbished Pierces. I believe the two Pierces being refurbished are the ones which belonged to E-4 and E-12.

12 has a new Seagrave? I did not have that one on my list. 4's was in the house a few weeks ago, next to the new Seagrave. E16 also had both new and old rigs in quarters.

We were down there 2 weeks ago. we shot E16, E21, E23, E24, E25, E27, E32, E33's new rigs and the new T7 and T15. missed E8, E7 and E4.

12 does not have a new Seagrave. I was down a few weeks ago and the Pierce was still there. Engine 4 and Engine 33 might be the two pierces being refurbished. The old Truck 7 was running as Truck 15 the day I was down, unknown where it has ended up now.

Old E4 is already renumbered as E20, old E33 is already renumbered E5. Both were seen today, I forgot my camera. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Banghead' />

Taking into consideration resQguy's last post, I now assume the Pierce engines are at E5, 8R, E12, 16R, E20, and E22. Correct?

good thing we shot E5 with the E\-One, didnt know they were switching out with a Pierce.. We didnt shoot E20 because they had an E\-One, which I thought was the one we had shot a couple of years ago when they were at E31's. I forgot they rolled that one over, and they had a different one than we had shot before.

Is the Medical Care Support Unit the only one in the NCR or are there one for each department like the Air Units?

I don't have the list, but I think there are at least four of them. Prince George's MCSU was delivered about a month ago.

S-195 and S-196 1994

The excellent History of Atlanta thread has inspired me to scan a few more pics and continue the DC chronology…

In 1994, DCFD took delivery on a pair of E\-One Cyclone pumpers. S-195 and S-196 went to Engines 16 and 25. They were 1500 GPM with 750 gallon water tanks and 30-gallon foam tanks. A new innovation for the DCFD was the air conditioned cabs. Each replaced a 1985 Hurricane.

S-195 through 197 were the last wagons in the Stars and Bars paint scheme. S-196 was eventually repainted. Reserve Engine 25R is on the scene in this September 24, 2001 photo.

S-101 through 103, 1996

In 1996 the DCFD continued purchases from E\-One, taking delivery on three more 1500 / 750 Cyclones. This batch had raised cabs, and went to Engines 2, 10, and 15. They had the last 6v92TA engines.

The high hose beds were not user friendly. I believe these rigs had the highest hose beds of any DC apparatus.
