If there was one topic in particular that I hated to see go on the old board, it would have to be the Chicago Fire Department thread. The posts, both historical and current, were just plain outstanding. I know Steve Reddick put a ton of work into that thread, and I really wish I could have kept it around.

In an effort to get it going again, here are several shots from my 2001 Chicago trip that have been rescanned and reworked in Photoshop, the result being a much better final image of what appears on my website.

Nice shots. Is truck 52 the first bread of Dash in Chicago? I noticed it doesnt have LEDs on the front.

I don't know if they were the first generation, but they were close. as pointed out above, the shots are from 2001 and not too many had embraced LEDs yet. The rig was fairly new at the time, but I'm not sure of the generation.

DUHH!! I had a huge brain fart when I posted. I thought that said "2004" not 2001. LED's werent really in style yet. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />
