New Haven 2nd alarm 68 Dickerman St. 03/01/15 - signal29 - 03-01-2015 New Haven, CT - Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke showing from the second floor of this two and a half story dwelling. An interior attack was initiated, however a bad hydrant caused a delay in getting water. A primary search resulted in one victim being pulled from the fire floor. A second alarm was transmitted by orders of Battalion Chief Gould. The fire extended into the third floor before companies were able to bring the fire under control. One firefighter was transported with burns to the lower extremities and one victim was transported in critical condition. The state and local fire marshal's divisions along with New Haven PD are investigating the cause of the blaze.
