In a similar style Patroit fire has a similar section on they're website for east coast stuff. They don't have this one shown on the website so I don't have a link to all of the pictures. See the next post for the finished rig. They seem to do some pretty nice work! The couple rescues look pretty impressive! FireTrucks Unlimited Rehabbed Units. - Guest - 02-08-2015 Nice job on the photos and information. I really enjoyed this after previously working for a company who did ambulance & rescue refurb & remounts. You can see even in the pictures they seem to do a really good job and obviously take pride in their product. I wonder how much Salt Lake and the Navy saved on those rigs. It's also refreshing to see the Navy finding ways to find new life out of previous rigs instead of throw away and reuse. Especially if the chassis still is good and has life left in it, yes I realize many of the military rigs have no more sweat to give when their primary role is over. Kris FireTrucks Unlimited Rehabbed Units. - upstatefire31 - 02-08-2015 I recall a video awhile ago about how much there saving by rehabbing units and I thought the guy said it was almost half the cost of new. I'll see if I can find the video or ask my buddy for the link. Some of the KME pumpers have stayed pumpers, other turned into rescue/hazmat and some into smaller tankers(kinda funny looking) I know alot of the pumpers and attacks have been rehabbed and refitted with a new kid of surpression system??? Any one know anything about it? |
