1970's Mack R Body Rescues - Guest - 05-08-2014
Hello all I'm searching for some pics for a modeling project.
I would like to find Mack R Body Rescues with rescue bodies preferably from the 1960's to 1970's era.
There is one I found searching on here from Weedsport, NY, which shows what I'm looking for.

The R chassis was popular with FDNY, having gotten 8 between 1967-1979:
1- 1967 ABC Body Co.
3- 1971 Providence Body
1- 1976 Hamerly
3- 1979 Pierce
Swab built a few, the Weedsport/MT. Airy rig is a great example.
There are a couple more on the Hamerly thread.
Saulsbury and E1 would build on this chassis through the 80s, with the last R chassis rescue delivered to Lawnton,PA. by E1 in 1/1991
American Modular (forerunner of Ranger) built a cowl model R rescue in 1976 for Wethersfield, Conn.
