Waterproofing DSLR - grubber33270 - 05-20-2017 Very stupid choice i made today, I went to a structure fire while it was raining (pretty Heavily) today. guess i didnt know that my camera really is not made to work while raining. when i got home tried turning the camera on, it did not. i switched out the battery and it worked for 1 photo then turned off again. I am going to leave the battery out overnight and see if that dries it all out. if it doesn't work after tomorrow then i guess i am full blown screwed. but if it does (crossing my fingers) how can I waterproof the camera so if i do go on structure fires in the rain i wont have this issue again? Waterproofing DSLR - TacSupport1 - 05-21-2017 They make "ponchos" for cameras: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/Rain-Capes-Covers-Slickers/ci/3313/N/4075788778 Also, I would let the camera, lens, and battery spend the night submerged in a box filled with rice. Waterproofing DSLR - grubber33270 - 05-21-2017 Thanks bud. I did leave the battery out of it for the night and the battery port open that seemed to do the trick it seems to be working again. |
