It was announced this week, that Wayne Twp will be starting the merger process with IFD. oved by the various committee's, it will go to the City-County Council some time next Spring for a final decision. With the way things have gone in the past, it's good bet the merger will be approved.

As of now, it's been called off. Wayne will be $2 million in debt starting next year due to fiscal mismanagement, from the last administration, as well as the bulk of their budget going to FF pensions. According to they Twp  Trustee, by 2026, 90% of their budget with be going towards pensions, and the dept will be in severe financial trouble. The whole thing smells fishy!!!
