3-Alarm Building Fire-Baltimore January 14, 2015
#1
Around 1:00AM this morning Box Alarm 8-3 was sounded for a building fire at Lafayette Ave. and Division St.

I decided to brave the cold and take it in!!

Units arrived with heavy fire on the top floor and through the roof. Battalion Chief 3 arrived, made it a working fire and struck out 3 alarms within 10 minutes.

The block-long 4-story building was under renovation and was inside a chain link fence. Extra engines were dispatched to chase embers in the neighborhood.

First shot about 25 minutes into it as I arrived:

About 3 1/2 hours later. Most of the big fire was done. Moving the handlines in:

Great shots! Love the ice on the street sign with the apparatus in the background, shows how cold it is.

Thanks for sharing.

Great shot of the "B" side. It was well worth the walk getting around there. Smile
