San Antonio Fire Museum to open soon

After 15 years of planning the San Antonio Fire Museum will finally open it's doors to the public on February 15. The Museum will be housed in the former SAFD Station 1, located at 801 E. Houston St. adjacent to the Alamo in downtown San Antonio. There will be apparatus displays, photos, historical records, and a gift shop. A follow-up to my previous post about the San Antonio Fire Museum.  It did not open on February 15 due to red tape from the City.  The needed permits have finally come through and work is proceeding at a fever pitch to get the Museum open ASAP.  I do not have a new grand opening date and I'll pass it on when I hear from the Museum Committee.
