PPV before putting the fire out, I thought this tactic went to the wayside in the mid 90's.



I am going to be that guy, if you did not put this fan in service, do you think you would have had fire conditions on the the first floor an hour into the box?

A few suburban departments in the Metro Denver area have instituted PPA (Positive Pressure Attack) which is different than PPV. If you haven't read about it here's a little info [url="http://www.positivepressureattack.com/pdfs/PressurizedFireAttackPrecautionsFEU2009.pdf"]http://www.positivepressureattack.com/pdfs/PressurizedFireAttackPrecautionsFEU2009.pdf[/url] Personally I think its a good and proven technique for the right kind of fire; but certainly not the best choice for all fires.

If the occupant was still in there, there probably would have been a fatality. lots of fuel for the fire, impossible to do a search, not good.
