On June 18, Solon Fire burned down an old farmhouse for training. Solon was assisted by Mount Vernon and West Branch Fire, as well as the Johnson County Ambulance Service.

One young probie was overcome by the heat inside and she was attended to by the Johnson County paramedics. She was fine later in the day.
