Fort Wayne Indiana 2nd Alarm Fire Golf View Apartments 3-8-2018

Shortly after 1600 this afternoon Fort Wayne Indiana Communications center toned out a 1st alarm assignment for a fire in a multi unit 2 story wood frame apartment building. 

 

Fort Wayne Fire department Engine 8 arrived with in 3 min and fount a working fire. A 2nd Alarm was quickly dispatched

I arrived at the evacuation tones were sounding. Units went defensive until fire could be knocked down with Aerial streams.

Weather is very cold 27 degrees and 14 MPH sustained winds.

First arriving crews had their hands full as many rescues were made from windows.

The fire was deep seated in the walls, Attic, and between the 1st and 2nd floor joist.

Last shot. Not as much fire was still visible when i arrived but crews made a good stop.

Nice Shots. Good Stop to what could have been bad. Apartment's make me nervous when it comes to fire.
