Who are the Rochester Protectives?  Are they the salvage company that is part of the RFD or a separate organization?

Protectives are a volunteer company. Their truck and driver are supplied by RFD. I guess you could call it a semi-seperate organization, they have their own officers but fall into the RFD command structure at a scene.


This fire was arson. 16 y/o male arrested, 11pm news says he will be charged as an adult.

As I was leaving, PD has a young male handcuffed in the back of the car speaking with the arson unit.

Yes, Salvage, assist with ventilation fans and scene lighting.
