09/04/15 Bridgeport, CT - Firefighters responded to this location just after noon time and found numerous small fire throughout the structure. They were back and hour later to find one section of the factory complex with heavy fire showing. Companies made an interior push but had to back out due to water pressure issues. The fire grew in intensity and a defensive operation was started. Six engines, two trucks and the fireboat fought the fire for an hour an a half tow bring it under control. This complex has been the scene of numerous fires over the years.

The fire was in a series of interconnected vacant factories on the water front. Firefighters were there an hour earlier with multiple small fires throughout the buildings. Access to the area on fire was very limited. The fireboat is stationed just on the other side of the bridge in the harbor area.
Another view from the bridge of the fireboat operating. Luck was in their favor because it was high tide when the fire occurred allowing for closer access.
Tower ladder 5 was able to position in an adjacent lot and hit the fire from that advantage point through various trees.
Another view of the fireboat in operation with the bridge, downtown and I95 in the background.
Another view, unfortunately I was shooting into the sun from that angle but it gave and unusual flare through the lens. Turns out artistic
A closer view of our fireboat, basically the same spec as a coast guard safe boat. It does not have a name just call sign Fireboat 233.
