Aurora Brush Fires 7/1/14
#1
A pre-Independence Day weather hot streak and fireworks kept things steady for crews around Denver.  Aurora Firefighters were dispatched to this vegetation fire on the eastern boarder of the city.  Volunteers from neighboring Sable Altura & Bennett also responded to the 1 acre fire.

A few wind shifts would have made things more interesting but the fuels were still pretty wet from recent rains.

A short time after the first fire was out, Aurora responded to another vegetation fire near Quincy Ave & Tower Rd.  Engine 10 requested a full structural taskforce and laid in.
