June 15, 2017 - 2nd alarm in Mount Airy, Maryland
#1
At approximately 4:45 pm on Friday, June 15, 2017, units from the Mount Airy area of Carroll, Howard, Frederick and Montgomery counties were dispatched to a reported building fire in the area of Main Street and Farewood Lane. Units quickly arrived to find heavy fire showing from a commercial building. A second alarm was sounded, and the firefight continued for several hours.

The building had served many purposes - a Chevy dealership (notice the sign), as well as currently a sign shop. So you know that there was some nasty stuff
burning.

Master streams on the ground, as well as ladder pipe ops. Obviously, this was a defensive operation.

While there is a hydrant infrastructure in the town of Mount Airy, tankers were necessary due to the significant draw on the water supply
infrastructure.

The Mount Airy Inn donated a LOT of good food. Not good for rehab, but surely very good food - Reuben sandwiches, pizzas, fries, tater tots, and a lot more.
