Might be going to Ottawa for a day or two to take some pictures.

 

Any suggestions in terms of what stations I should visit ? What stations are easiest to take pictures at (enough room to place the trucks, etc.) ?

What rigs are you interested in photographing?  There is a very diversified fleet here in Ottawa.  I can tell you where to go and at what time to maximize the sun exposure.  Let me know when you are coming, if I am on shift at that time, I can make a couple calls for you.  It is usually no issue to photograph our rigs, although the rural volunteer stations require advanced notice to ensure someone is there.
