I assume this lovely Lime Gem was awaiting disposal outside of Fire House Two. Thought it was interesting so here it is, obviously the sun has not ripened it <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Hysterical' />

not a bad ride. they got that one pretty quick. i knew they had high tension lines fall across their other platform and it fried everything in the truck. nice shots.

Wow! I didn't know that the new 1535 had even been delivered. Nothing shown under 'New Deliveries' on Pierce's website. Beautiful rig! I really like Kirkwood's graphics on their rigs; something different other than goldleaf for a change!

Those Velocities have really grown on me.

The other day Kirkwood had all the neighboring departments looking at it. Valley Park was there, but I wasnt at the firehouse yet. A few weeks ago the Asst. Chief said the new truck is a former demo and that is why it was delivered so quick. Kirkwood had planned on replacing the older truck within the next couple of years, until the powerlines fried it. The choices were between A.) A Brand new truck. B.) A demo, almost new. C.)Spend money to repair the older, then replace the older in a few years...they went with the almost new demo.

Looks sharp. I agree Jeff the blue makes the red pop, looks good. I like that it is labeled Tower instead of Platform. After all if its a stick with a bucket then its a Tower or Tower Ladder.
