Did the two squads that were taken out of service add a new company, or were the manpower just spread around? I like your website...you do a great job and keep up the good work.

[/quote] Helped to place the Four Truck Company's back in full regular service along with some other adjustments. For a long time the Truck Company's were cross staffed with some of the squads. In 1975 the WFD had Eight staffed Trucks by the early 2000's only four were left and they were cross-staffed. Quints and Squads lead to the demise of the Truck Company. Now: Truck 1 with Engine 1 Truck 2 with Engine 2 Truck 3 with Engine 9 Truck 4 with Engine 16

That being said they also have 3 Squads that are currently on track but only staffed if everyone is there. Those are Squad 3, Squad 5, and Squad 12. Wichita seems to change truck staffing "rules" every 6 months, but the Truck Companies have held up!

Thanks for the replies. Do you know if Squad 11 is still as busy as they used to be, or has Engine 22 taken a majority of the call volume away from them?

A couple of weeks ago I was the Frontier Oil Refinery in Eldorado, KS for some training and the 2 captains on duty were nice enough to pull their rigs out for me to shoot, taking care to not get any refining equipment in the pictures. So here's a couple from "behind the fence".

Here's the first of 2 unique rigs. This originally was a 95' platform but the refinery had the basket taken off so they could put a 2000gpm tip on the ladder.

This one I need help from our Canadian friends I think. The Pemfab chassis originally had some type of ladder on it and was manufactured by Anderson. I could not find a serial number just the Anderson nameplate in the cab. Anyone have an idea of where the chassis originally came from? The tank and body was built by a local fire equipment dealer in Eldorado, Flint Hills Fire Rescue. They are the local Sutphen dealer.

Mineola/New York is negative. So it's probably the chassis from the Anderson/Bronto, that it was in service in Elizabeth/New Jersey.
