For clarification aren't all 3 Pennsburg FC rigs pictured former Abington FC rigs?

Thanks in advance.

Another ex-Cranston Heights rig that's now in Virginia is the above mentioned 1998 E\-One. It's now serving the Concord Volunteer Fire Department in Campbell County, VA.

When I visited Cranston Heights last year they said that Concord wanted to buy the matching Rescue, but that they weren't ready to sell it yet.

This doesn't surprise me. They're tickled to death with the E\-One pumper, and both the pumper and the rescue fit/would fit their needs really well.

Did the Talleyville Mack CF/BeaverBilt Rescue Engine ever wander into either the Prince George's County (MD) FD fleet or specifically, the Berwyn Heights Volunteer Fire Company fleet in the late 80s or early 90s? That quartz light on the front sheet metal above the Q looks familiar for some reason.
Reply
PG County had a similar unit, with open jump seats. I think I have photos of it serving at Berwyn Heights, and Glenn Dale. Not sure what ever happened to it.

Talleyville Rescue 25 and Engine 25-2 were built by Saulsbury on fire department supplied Mack CF chassis during 1987. Rescue 25 was designed around their previous rescue/engine which was sold to the PGFD. Following is the information on this unit during its time in Prince George's County:

1971 Mack CF685/Hammerly closed cab 1000 gpm/300 gwt #CF685F10-1242 W Mini Pumper 14

acquired from Talleyville, Delaware in 1987, rebuilt by Yankee Coach in

1987, rescue style body, assigned as Collapse Rescue Unit 18 in 1992 #M72014

Tom: it was rumored that Talleyville's Rescue 25 was a Hamerly originally before rebuild by Beaverbilt?

The 1987 Mack Rescue/Engine was built by Saulsbury with the bodywork as shown in the photo. The 1971 Mack rescue/engine's bodywork was built under sub-contract for Mack by Hamerly.
