from what i hear north hudson has closed ladder 2,and engine 11 to move the manpower to other units so there will be no more brown outs. The new station on 43rd and jfk has been opened and houses rescue 1, squad 6 and engine 5 and dispatch. Also the former quarters of engine 11 has been made into a training facility. Saftey has been moved to the former rescue quarters and the station on jane st has been closed although there hasnt been any fire fighting capabilites there for a while. And i guess the fomer quarters of squad 6 is gone for good.

The Flemington Rescue is a beast! Looks like a lot of work went into planning the rig out, hope it serves them well.

The committee worked on it for 5 years. The color was a spin going back to a 1972 Ford Reading Rescue Truck they used. They have a Utility Truck that just got delivered last week or so ALSO in the Orange Color. Will try to get across town and get a few pictures.

Here is a shot of the old 1972 Ford that ran as 49-55 with a GE Power Call Siren.

Nothing gets past the members of this site...we were just at Pierce for the final inspection on Wednesday and Thursday.

2010 Velocity 84" cab with 20" raised roof, 24' HDR aluminum body, 55 Kw Winco generator, 185 CFM VanAir PTO compressor, 6 bottle cascade with booster and Spacesaver fill station, two Wil-Burt light towers, 15K front winch, 9K portable winch, TNT rescue system with six 100' reels

Pierce Job #23100 - Hopefully to NJ later this week, delivery a couple of weeks later. I was going to post compartment photos under a separate thread if anyone interested, once we load up the equipment.

Thanks - Gary

Gary - Interested... also will it be at Wildwood? Will there be another Equipment Photo spread done like the last time? Would like to be on hand for that <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/usa.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Usa' />
