I am not sure if there was a rescue truck between the Dodge PW and this 1975 International/Saulsbury that was purchased from the Smithtown, Long Island, New York.
Coles sold the squad to Widewater, VA in Stafford County in 1992 where it was repainted to red. This photo was taken in July of 1990.

Did the Petebilt sitting in the station in the background of this squad catch your attention? This was a unique one.
Tanker 6 is a 1986 Peterbilt/S&S 1500/3500. Anyone know where this went after leaving Coles?
Unfortunately, I did not go anywhere. It was wrecked and totaled. Some of its parts were used as a glider kit for the 1993 Pierce Lance. I know the Lance was for sale, but I have not heard if it has been sold and if so, to whom. Hope this helps.
Mike or Jerry, do you guys have any old Buckhall rigs? We have had some remodling done in the station and I was thinking of having pics enlarged for a photo wall.
Thanks...Andy

It has not been sold yet Jerry, we used it two weeks ago at Station 16, it is being stored in Gainsville or Nokesville someplace.

Last week Cole's old Pierce Lance tanker was in their back parking lot of their station. The past three tankers from Cole's look very impressive. I pass station 6 going to my band's practice place off Minnieville Road. Good stuff guys, keep up the great work!

Andy,
This is the earliest I have (photos I have taken) from Bucks Hall:
Anyone have original info for this Ford tanker from Coles? I am aware that it went to Evergreen VFD later, and then got a great rebuild using a large Mack chassis. Thanks!

I made a quick trip up the road to Fluvanna County on Monday in hopes of shooting rigs I have never had an opportunity to do so before. I struck out at Fork Union, but lucked out at Palmyra. As usual when I go out, clouds come from out of nowhere in short order! I did manage to get some decent shots through perseverance. Palmyra is the County seat in Fluvanna and as is usually the case, numbered as Company 1. They run 2 engines, a tanker, brush, squad, and 3 SUV's plus a Hazmat trailer. First up is Engine 10, the primary structure fire pumper. Note the "10" adorning the Q2B!

This next engine is the newest and operates as a rescue engine. The department's website lists it as "Rescue Engine 11" although it is not lettered as such on the truck itself. The extrication equipment is in the tailboard compartment. I was guessing it also carried 1000 gallons of water judging by the height.
The village of Palmyra has a few hydrants, but most of the coverage area is very rural. I was surprised to find that this tanker has a Roto-Ray! Unable to locate a serial number for this one.
