Westchester County Parade was Saturday September 16. It was held in Elmsford NY which was celebrating it's 100th anniversery. For pictures go to www.EMTBravo.com or www.Smile-NY.com .
The only parade in lower NY on September 30 will be the Putnam Valley FD (Putnam County) 65th anniversery parade. It will be a local parade with 15-20 outfits fro Putnam & Westchester Counites.

Tom- The 49 Ford/Hahn is a classic, still used for field fires. When Hahn built it they were uisng a raised encircled rooster ornament on the hood front. One of these is on this piece. The word for rooster in German is Hahn. Al

I don't have any information for a 7th District fire company, or a Young Township Fire company in Coal Run. I just want to confirm what counties they may have been in. If anyone can I would greatly appreciate it.

Both of the Stations that you have questions about were part of mergers in recent years. I'll see if I can find what stations are what now days.

Coal Run, Station 290, merged with the former McIntyre VFD, Station 300, in the 2003-2004 range. Both of these fire departments, along with Iselin, Station 310, and West Lebanon, Station 320, are in Young Township, Indiana County. The merged fire departments now run out of Coal Run's station; McIntyre's is now a machine shop. Ross Township, Allegheny County, has eight fire departments: Evergreen, Berkley Hills, Perrysville, Quail, Fairview, Seville, Keating, and Laurel Gardens (Stations 21-29). This list came from the "old days" before Allegheny County kind of switched to a numbering system. I believe, don't quote me, that 7th District is Keating. I hope this helps.

Brady Fire Company, Coal Township, Village of Ranshaw. Just lost there fire station in the last couple weeks, actually the social hall portion of the building was gutted by a mid day fire. This is Northumberland County, 1975 Ford C/Bruco 1000/1000. It was replaced with a Ferrara. Rescue of Sunbury still operates this 1948 Maxim engine 750/500, as a reserve engine. Mountaintop Fire Co Fairview Twp operated this 1989 Pierce Dash engine with a 1250/1000, and it was sold to Warrior Run Fire Co, also of Luzerne County, not the Warrior Run in Northumberland. I hope this helped out some.

Mattson Collection[/color][/quote]This 1972 GMC T/Bruco 500/1500 tanker was operated by the Nittany Valley Fire Company of Clinton County (barely, right ont he Center County line at Interstate 80 Lamar interchange). It came from Warriors Mark, and I don't know where it went too.

' />[/quote]Scott: additional info- This is a 1937 Intl D-series/National Fire Apparatus, 600 rotary gear Northern/200. It was purchased new by the Oreland VFC (Montgomery Co.),PA for $7000. In 1979 it was retired from active service after which it was restored and retained as an antique. In 1997 another extensive restoration was initiated. This is still underway by the fire company members.
