Also in the White Pine station was a 1970 Ford C/John Bean 750/500 S/N # 21-70 that was running as "Engine 2." Unfortunately, it was out of service for transmission problems and couldn't be moved. One of the members went to White Pine's substation/sister department and got this truck so we could take a pic of it. Baneberry VFD is basically White Pine VFD Station 2, but they are a seperate entity, formed by the Baneberry golfing community on the outskirts of White Pine. Baneberry built the station and bought this engine, but White Pine supplies the firefighters to operate the station. Strange situation. Still not sure I totally understood what the Chief was telling Micah and I.

We left White Pine and headed to the local McDonalds for breakfast, which was inside of a truckstop. While we were getting our drinks from the fountain machine, Micah and I spotted these two beasts pulling in to the fuel pumps to fill up. We talked to the drivers and managed to get them to pull the trucks away from the pumps so we could shoot them. Unfortunately, they didn't understand that we wanted driver's side and not passenger side photos of the trucks. Oh well, doubt I'll ever see either one of these trucks ever again!

We then ventured over to Rogersville, TN where we found the bay doors open. The FD and the PD are in the same building. The PD dispatcher that day just happened to the the Chief of Rogersville FD! He couldn't venture far away from the phones and radios, but he did pull the trucks out on the pad for us. Maybe another day we can get them posed!
