Good Stuff Andrew!! I see ya made it to Bulls Gap again, and still no photo of the WLF. lol. Must be one of those elusive rigs.

Thanks Shoop! Believe me, I tried my best to get a pic of the WLF. It's been SOLD already <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> It's now serving Stanley Valley, TN which is way on the opposite side of Hawkins County from where we were headed that day. I have a contact at Stanley Valley, but I haven't heard from him about when I can come shoot it. For your records, it's now "Engine 1906" at SVFD.
Here's the last truck from Cooleemee, and the newest rig in the house. It's not even in service yet. They just took the old lettering off a few days before I shot it. And of course, the sun had to pop behind a cloud the size of Texas while I had to wait on the air to build up in this truck. Grrr.... This truck is based at Cooleemee FD as well.

Next stop was Fork VFD where I had another never-before experience. When the Asst. Chief here realized I was shooting fire trucks all over Davie County, he got on the radio and started lining stuff up. He had FD's contacting him, begging me to come shoot their trucks. If I'd had time, he had about 10 stations lined up waiting on me. Unfortunately, it was 1830 hrs already and I barely had any daylight left. I told him I'd contact him again soon and come back to shoot the remainder of the FD's in Davie Co.

I drove to several of the FD's, and didn't find anyone home. The last place I was able to get pics was Advance FD.

Thanks for the info about the WLF Andrew. It always amazes me how a rig can be donated to a department in need, and then they turn around and sell it.
We then ventured over to Rogersville, TN where we found the bay doors open. The FD and the PD are in the same building. The PD dispatcher that day just happened to the the Chief of Rogersville FD! He couldn't venture far away from the phones and radios, but he did pull the trucks out on the pad for us. Maybe another day we can get them posed! They used it quite a bit for fire detail at Bulls Gap Volunteer Speedway. They would load it down with 5 guys and respond all over the place at the facility. Those 5 guys obviously weren't the 5 smallest either. Bet the axle kit the frame rails several times, lol. Nic

This was by far, the best find of the day!! The Chief kept talking about some guy coming through town years ago and taking pictures of this truck. "This guy" told the Chief that there were only about a dozen or so of these Dodge trucks ever built, and only about a half-dozen or less still exist! We didn't tell him that we knew "this guy" as our very own Dave Organ, haha. Rogersville, TN "Engine 2" 1969 Dodge A-700/Oren 750/750 S/N # 2691 Andrew Messer Photo (2010)
Great find Mesner!
Great bunch of photos Mesner! Just got done looking through all of your "today" shots. Yep, I've really jealous of a few of them!
