Was this Grasonville's?

Huh...that's located about 5 minutes from my family farm. I'll see if I can get by there this week and take a look. However, it sure does appear to be a Grasonville rig.

That's Engine 37 (Rescue Fire Co.) out of Susquehanna Twp (Dauphin Co. PA) right next to it, the one that rolled.

Grabbed a couple of photos on vacation in the Hamptons area of NY last week. Not much time to shoot <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />

First up is the new East Quogue Fire Department brush 7-6-12. All I know is it's since the dealer was Chivvis (http://www.gachivvis.com), it's likely a Marionbody - working to get all the specs.

My frontline D-SLR camera wasn't working, so I had to resort to using a back-up camera for each photo. Not great shots, and the backup doesn't have a polarizing filter, but I figured I might as well take photos of each rig since I was nearby.

Not sure.

But their current Mack Scope that formally served West Sayville FD is for sale if anyone is interested.

That should be where the Kentland Tower is going.

Yes I was told when I visited that EQFD has purchased Kentland's Tower 33, with delivery expected in September.

How come some companies have to retire apparatus with an AFG grant but some can sell their apparatus?

AFG grants stipulate that the piece must be retired from active duty, can not be used by another fire department for front line or reserve service, but CAN be used at a training facility as long as it's not driven. My Mack was purchased from Tower Hill #2 when they got a grant for a new pumper/tanker.

Taylor, I believe if the grant was written as a replacement due to "safety issues" then it cannot be placed back in front line service. If it was written as a replacement due to wear/tear/age issues then it can be ran at another department. (I think I remember it correct)
