in addition to the American rigs enjoying a second life in the fire service in British Columbia that I posted on another thread, I was able to photograph several interesting units on my recent trip West. Sidney, BC operates this unusual looking rescue. R901 2005 Magnum/Sterling [/quote] Is this designed to have the rescue box come off the chassis? It seems very boxy but obviously is not a POD. I've seen departments have multi use trucks where the boxes could be removed and something else placed on it. Just wonderin.

I get a kick from the Esso rig. I am showing my age when I can recall all the Exxon's in America were Esso's.
Stay safe, Brothers.
Kill 'em all, let Allah sort 'em out. NEVER forget 9/11/01 WTC, Pentagon, Pa. Avenge the acts with NO mercy.
Thanks to ALL the Brothers who were there 9/11/01 and afterwards. Words can never say what appreciation we have for you all.

Morden, Manitoba has just put this 1996 E-1 Cyclone into service as Unit #131. It formerly served at Sun City West in Arizona. s/n is #16703. Pump capacity is 1500 US gpm. I was told the water tank was 500 gals and the foam tank 35 gallons. Any corrections are welcomed.
awaiting delivery, a 2010 Rosenbauer/FL-M2 1050/920/20 for Swan Lake, Manitoba
This is somewhat unusual in that it is a top-mounted enclosed pump panel but without a bench seat in the enclosure. |
