Baltimore purchased 6 Seagraves in 1974 they went to Trucks 3,6,7,8,9, and 10. Trucks 7 and 9 would later be seen in the movies ladder 49. Truck 7 was the actual Truck 49 and Truck 10 would be Truck 16 in the movie

Here is a shot a bunch of very tired trucks that the city ran. from left to right is. Old Truck 30, old Truck 26 the 1972 Alf rear mount, 2 reserve trucks I dont remember ther numbers, but i believe they were old Truck 1 and 15. next you have old Truck 29 and Reserve Truck 38 old Truck 27.

Last up is a row of tired pumpers. from right to left you have. Engine 41 which was originally assigned to Engine 37. Reserve Engine 70 originally Engine 40 both were Spartan/Pirsch. Engine 52 a Sutphen that was passed around alot. It was first assigned to Engine 12, then to Engine 7, and then to Engine 52. Reserve Engine 66 one of two Seagrave foam pumpers. Originally assigned to Engine 10 it then went to Engine 57. I cant remember what the last two were. These were the last of the Seagrave Engine that Baltimore purchased from 1970-1981. Hope you all enjoyed

Found this behind the firehouse of the Bayville Fire Company in Ocean County, NJ. Didn't look in bad shape and with a pile of garbage I'm assuming the company was getting rid of it.

I don't have any information on this truck, except I believe it came from a West Virginia FD. It is now sitting at the Keplinger facility in Winchester, Virginia.

Drove past the Bedford Hills, NY location where Mutual Aid Americas ([url="http://www.mutual-aid.org/"]http://www.mutual-aid.org/[/url] )stores some apparatus. The Hahn from Glastonbury, [url="http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/index.php?showtopic=232&st=2700&p=386621&#entry386621"]http://www.firepics....21[/url] is gone, but the two Ford C (Saltsburg, PA and Lyme, NH) remain. A new addition was this GMC/Darley from Califon Fire Co., Hunterdon County, NJ

It is a 1970 Mack Army surplus assembled in house by the Buchannan Valley Fire Department of Adams County PA. When they went to place the unit in service, PA DMV would not register it or issue licence plates becuse the truck was too heavy and too wide to be street legal. It was advertised for sale in the June 1993 PA Fireman.

Wow thanks for posting Brian! Always love seeing the old Seagraves... I think the other two that were last to go were Reserve Engines 63 x E26 and 69 x E47?

Growing up near Rogers Forge in Towson, I could easily hear the throaty roar of those 1974 Seagraves under the airhorns and Federal Q's when there was box near the northern city line. And I remember my first trip to Steadman House filled with Seagraves, the Mack-Swab Rescue 1, Water Tower 1, AirFlex 1, the reserve Mack floodlight and reserve Mack rescue and getting a tour of the high pressure pumping station there for the HP hydrants in downtown Baltimore.

Anytime Kurt, I was able to pry my all time city book from my son long enough to scan the pics. I have more, but they are through a fence shot at Dickman Street when they used to junk stuff in the back. I wasnt sure if those were for sure old 47 and 26. Again, your quite welcome glad you enjoyed.
