Perry,Ia 1072 American LaFrance 85' 1000.? #-2778 [/quote] Great photo. Interesting all Blue lights. I have seen a few Iowa departments run all Blue. Some Volunteer Departments in Missouri ran all Blue on the fire units. They said it was due the state law allowing volunteer POV's with only blue lights. They believed it helped keep the public aware of any blue light is an emergency vehicle. Kansas State law only allows RED for volunteers and for many years Fire Engines and Trucks could only run RED or RED/WHITE. Kansas state law still requires an Electro Mechanical siren with a 360 Becon. Even though some departments opt for only electronic sirens.
