Here are some ancillary pieces from the ACFD. A Logistics SUV, A Special Services Van and a utility vehicle from the Falls Church VFD but still lettered for Arlington County FD
Here's a close up of the trailer that's parked behind the ACFD Spl Services van. It's used to carry boxes of stuff and class A uniforms on hangers but no personal sized, amber colored, carbonated, re-hydration canisters. That stuff goes on a bus along with photographers or those not riding motorcycles.

Shameless plug. Mag Gen Karl Horst, Commandant of the Military District of Washington was at the ceremony at ACFD. He stood at attention during the reading of the names of the 184 people killed there that day. After the ceremony he adopted us and paved the way for our visit saying, "You know, those guys report to me." When I got there I was greeted with, "If you come with me, sir, I show you where you can stand and take photographs." Then we went to a special place reserved for photogs. I didn't have to show any credentials! (But it was clear that I had a 'hook'.)
What an awesome place! Seeing it on newsreels and on TV is not the same as being there and being part of a ceremony. Our wreath was the only one placed there on that day. The white hat next to Gen Horst is Pat Concannon FDNY (ret), founder and president of the Fire Family Transport Foundation.

FDNY Marine Three Forty Three in front of the Tribute In Lights on September 11th, 2010. They were out on a run for a jumper in the Hudson River, possibly their first run since going in service at 0900 earlier that morning.
Wow. Those are absolutely beautiful pics. Those would look great framed and on the wall.
