This was Truck 23 from the Orange VFC in Orange County, VA. After Orange took delivery of a new Pierce Velocity ladder in September 2008, the Seagrave was loaned for a short time to the Manassas VFC in The City of Manassas (within Prince William County). However, MVFC never actually owned it.



I look forward to seeing it lettered at it's new home.

Made a trip to Weaverville today. Two of the Macks are set outside to be sold. Glad I got them while I could. I plan on building a replica of both sooner or later as you can see by the orange and black stick on side view of E8.

A post on PUMPFIRE.com states that Cornelius, NC has taken delivery of a 1995 Seagrave engine from Cary, NC to run as Engine 6. Anyone know what the plan is for the Grave Yard (I'm guessing a reserve engine is needed for St. 2)?

I believe they were looking for a temp replacement of the E\-One engine last year.

We have aquired a 1995 Seagrave Engine with 70k miles from the Town of Cary, NC. The engine was purchased through the auction site govdeals.com for $17,000. It will be used as a reserve engine and named Engine 6. It may be put into a rotation with our other Engines to keep mileage and general wear and tear down. We will be going out to bid for a new Engine within the next month. The 1991 E\-One was sold last year when we thought we were going to be able to order a new engine prior to the Jan 2010 emmission changes. Due to politcal issues the purchase of the new engine was put off after we had already sold the E\-One. We will refurb the Engine 6 over the next month and hopefully have it in service within the month of October. I will post some pics tomorrow.

Cornelius Engine 6 - We will be doing some work to it over the next month or so and hope to have it in service near the end of October.
