Found this in a local scrapyard here in NS, scrapped 2007 ex: Westchester, NS 1978 SCOT C1FD/King Seagrave was 840/500 king Serial #77030 SCOT SN - 36P886 was ex: Etobicoke/Toronto ONT sold to Westchester in 1988 [/quote] Not really surprised at that, this rig was pretty well used up when it left the Etobicoke Fire dept years ago... Another one bits the dust, soon they will all be gone... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/stretcher.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Any chance that the rig re-assigned to Tactical 4 from Tactical 1 was once a "Tactical Support Unit" a labeled accordingly? If not did they have 2 of these rigs by chance?
Thanks in advance.

When the truck was rehabbed/repainted they went with the designation Tactical, instead of Tactical Support Unit. This was the original TSU 1, which was just replaced with a 2009 E\-One Cyclone II Heavy Rescue. The only one of its type. There are 3 Tactical Suppor Units within Halifax's "core" section.
TAC 1 - fully staffed crew of 4 out of #12 Station TAC 2 - crew of 2 out of #8 station TAC 3 - staffed as needed, collapse, high angle rescue out of #3 station TAC 4 - reserve TAC unit, also was supposed to run as department Decon unit out of #5 station

Eric, with the Parc Safari truck, you didnt happen to see any numbers that start with a PFT or a CPT? Probably on a data plate on the pump panel?
For the 2nd truck, I have a 1992 Ford/Carl Thibault delivered to Mirabel (St. Hermas) QUE. 1050/1000
I would venture a guess and say this MAY be a refurb by Carl Thibault. |
