Oldwick ran some very interesting rigs over the years, I think they had a similar engine to the "Monarch" but looked just a bit different and is no longer. It's interesting how there are some fire companies that for whatever reason often have a house full of unique equipment, while some have nothing but plain janes. I guess it's what makes this such a great hobby, the "unknown" of finding those houses!

Union Fire Company Number 1 of Lambertville, NJ. This is a 1923 Fox. The company was going to give it to the State Fire Museum and there was some issue because was in stroage and then was going to be sold off. The Company went through a big leagal battle and got the rig home.
ALSO in 1981 the engine sat in the back part of the bay as the firehouse burned. The members threw covers over her and she survived with very little damage. The rig still comes out for the City's (Hunterdon County's ONLY CITY) Memorial Day Parade every year and runs on her own power!
The "Cream" color is really a white laquer base paint that has faded over the years. ALL rigs in this Company are painted to MATCH the Fox!!!
