This was the first aerial ladder in the AFD. It re-placed a 1925 Seagrave City Service truck which was transferred to Ladder 2 replacing the 1915 Robinson City Service truck.



The cab of this rig caught fire in 1960 and was destroyed and was re[laced by a 1961 B Mack semi-cab with booster equipment. The trailer served until 1968 when it was replaced by a 100 ft Seagrave trailer. The 37 trailer was then sent to the fledgling Mass Fire Academy.
