Texas Emergency Medical Servies
The Dallas/Fort Worth Int'l Airport's EMS used to be a Police function. It was interesting to see uniformed cops with fully equipped gun belts bringing patients into the ER.

DFW Airport, Tx 1990 Ford F350, unsure of the body builder, probably Collins.

Mansfield, Tx Ambulance 2, a 1989 Ford F350 with most likely a re-mounted Modular Ambulance Corp box.

Note the Q2's on the bumpers of both of these rigs.

University Park, Tx 1988 Ford F350/Collins

Both of these departments have since switched back to red.

All of these photos were taken back before I had learned how to pose them properly and to shoot during sunny conditions.

Still great shots, Eric! What else are you hiding from us, lol?

Eric,

The DFW 1990 unit is a Frazer body and you're correct on the Mansfield unit below it...a remounted "Modulance" from Modular Ambulance Corp. Those are good pictures from that time in the Metroplex!

These next 2 from Williamson County arn't as old as the ones from Austin but all I had. You can see the old graphics style was around a long time. First was a new delivery, a 1995 Ford McCoy-Miller type I.

Last one was a new 1995 Ford type I "walk-thru" with a remounted Collins body. If I remember right this was the only "walk-thru" in the fleet.

I'm told this is a remounted medium duty AEV body onto this new 2011 Dodge 5500 chassis for the City of Marfa, TX.
